Frequently Asked Questions

1. Am I actually locked in the room?
No, the door remains unlocked throughout the game - we can pretend! In case of emergency, we want to make sure you can get out quickly and safely.

2. Is it scary?
The game is not meant to be scary; maybe eerie at times, but not scary. Team-building, mentally challenging entertainment is the objective of the game.

3. What if we can't escape?
We want you to have a fun experience, and clues can be provided to try to help if your team gets stuck. If you aren't able to escape after an hour, we'll let you out and show you what you needed to do to escape.

4. How long should we plan for our Old Town Escape experience?
Each game has a 60-minute time limit, but plan for about 90 minutes total, as we do spend some time on orientation before and debriefing after the game.

5. How much does it cost? And how many people do we need to participate?
Tickets are $25/person. Each game requires 4-8 people. If your group has fewer than 8 people and you do not want other players to join, you must purchase all tickets of your desired time slot. Otherwise, you may be grouped with others for a max of 8 players per group.

6. What are the recommended ages?
It often proves advantageous to have a variety of ages/backgrounds on your team. However, the puzzles are created with adults in mind. If your teenager wants to take a crack at it, that's great! But kids aged 12 to 17 will be admitted with adult supervision only.
